This course is for anyone interested in breaking into the fast-paced UAS/drone service provider sector. The ideal candidate for this program is someone who is interested in starting their own company or working as a freelance drone operator. Although the business uses for UAS seem to be limitless, the majority of our students are interested in providing UAS/drone services to customers in sectors such as film/TV, telecommunications, utility and energy infrastructure, construction, mapping, and insurance, among others. Our Training Program is particularly developed to provide students with the technical skills and operational competency necessary to operate a recognized commercial drone service provider. The program is divided into four phases: Phase 1 (web-based ground school) and Phase 2 (personal computer-based drone simulator) are performed entirely online. Phase 3 (hands-on flight instruction) is completed at one of our flight schools situated around the United States of America by one of our skilled flight instructors. Phase 4 (preparation for FAA part 107) is provided online using the same learning management system as Phase 1. Students will get a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program documenting the amount of hours completed. Along with passing the FAA Knowledge test and receiving a Remote Pilot In Command Certificate, students will earn the credentials necessary to establish a career as a UAS/Drone service provider.
Each of our teachers is presently employed in the business as a supplier of UAS/drone services. This current real-world experience benefits students enrolled in this program significantly. Apart from the great hands-on operational training students get, the instructors are able to impart insight and expertise acquired about the business and industry of UAS/Drone service provision.
Additionally, we provide group training. We provide group savings and develop specialized and personalized training packages for each customer. Please contact us personally at 562-565-4519 or by email at info@califromabove.com with any queries.

Cali From Above will send you the drone simulator. The simulator is comprised of software and a controller that connects into the USB port on your computer. Once the program is installed, you’ll be able to fly a range of various tiny unmanned aircraft.
This training will be conducted in both rotary and fixed wing aircraft. Students will practice using the remote control controller, learning about the flying characteristics of the specific aircraft, and performing take-off and landing procedures. These are the necessary building pieces for acquiring the operational competency required to operate a professional unmanned aircraft system/drone service provider.
Stage 3
Students will be booked for two days of flying instruction at one of our flight training facilities after completing the home-based ground school and simulator training. There, students will spend two full days studying from teachers who are also UAS/Drone service providers. By undergoing intense operational flying training, students will become completely immersed in field training. Additionally, students will get the chance to learn about the business side of the sector from real-world experts.
What is the most beneficial aspect of the hands-on flying training? We exclusively provide one-on-one flying instruction, which ensures that each student receives the individualized attention necessary to really improve their abilities and prepare them to offer their services professionally.
